A good week

This week's highlights, in pictures: rearranging my favourite wall after its repaint. This is what I see when I'm making things.

Displaying two new designs during my first Open Studios weekend (and selling them both to a truly lovely customer).

A new bench/pew for the studio (made from recycled scaffolding planks).

The masses of crochet and knitting that went on.

The exquisite cake that Celia brought to the studio on Sunday. Those are white currants and cornflowers (yes, they're edible and taste rather lovely).

My fennel flowers beginning to make their beautiful patterns.

There was a slight photographic trauma mid week. My trusty camera of five years died, entirely. (GAH!). However, I mustered some blitz spirit and went to PC World. My new macro setting is my new favourite thing (these are handmade Czech lampwork beads).

I don't have photographic evidence of the following good things:

The studio and garden full of people and bustle on Sunday afternoon
Eldest's joyful face when she saw her new party dress
Jugs of Pimms
The village water fight

..but they did happen.

Note: My studio will be open again during the weekend of 27th/28th July and there are new silver clay workshop dates leading up to Christmas over in my sidebar.

Really love your new designs too, that little envelope necklace is lovely :) my laptop suddenly died once and years worth of pictures were lost so I feel your pain there, but it's good that it lead to a better camera in the end :) good luck with the rest of open studios, have enjoyed your pictures so far :) safxxx
